🍑 Peach Sorbet (3 Ingredients!)

Peaches! 🍑

I just had to share with you an amazingly simple 3 ingredient Peach Sorbet I made!

It's absolutely worth the time it takes to peel the fresh peaches, and cursing your old blender to 'just pulse better!' lol.

The perfect 'sweet-with-a-hint-of-lemony-sour' treat for a hot summers day :D

☀️ INGREDIENTS:

✅ 5 Large Peaches (de-skinned and cubed) (about 625 grams)
✅ Lemon Juice (2 Tablespoons)
✅ Maple Syrup (1 Tablespoon)

☀️ SPECIAL THINGS YOU’LL NEED:
Blender

My wonderful little website is reader-supported and to make things as helpful as possible, I’ve included direct Amazon affiliate links (which means at absolutely no extra cost to you I'll make a small commission if you happen to buy anything that sparks your interest by clicking on my links). Thank you for your support :)

☀️ METHOD:

1. On a cutting board, de-skin your peaches, remove the seed, and dice into small cubes.
2. Lay your peach cubes flat on a single layer, on a silicone baking mat (ontop of a baking tray) and pop in the freezer until frozen (about 30 minutes).
3. Juice your lemon and set aside until your peaches are finished freezing. Optional: Zest your lemon peel, if you'd like to sprinkle some on top of your sorbet like I did - it's so good!
4. Take your frozen peach cubes out of the freezer and pop cubes + the lemon juice into a powerful blender, pulsing and scraping down the sides as needed. (If your blender is like my old one, this step will take a while and you'll need to stop to push the peaches down the sides a few times).
5. Add the maple syrup into the blender and pulse everything together until well combined.
6. If your sorbet has melted too much (if your blender took a while to combine everything/heated it up a bit too much, just dump the final whipped sorbet mix out of the blender and place back in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to firm up.
7. Scoop your sorbet mix into your favourite glass/bowl, sprinkle some extra lemon zest on top (a slice of fresh peach, and even a little extra maple syrup, if you like!) and enjoy!

This was an amazing sweet/slightly sour treat and it's absolutely making my mouth water right now just thinking about how good it was!

I personally LOVE lemon so added quite a bit of lemon zest to the top of mine, but if you'd rather lean into the sweetness of the peaches go for it! I also made another batch which was super sweet (and super delicious) which didn't have any of the lemon zest on top and it was like a whole different dessert!

Let me know if you try this simple 3 ingredient peach sorbet recipe - I'd love to know! :)

Helpful Notes:

Question: Why is it difficult to blend the ingredients? Am I doing something wrong?

Answer: All blenders are different - how easy it is for you to blend everything together will depend on what type of blender you have and how powerful it is. Make sure to periodically stop your blender and scrape the batter down regularly to get a smooth batter :) Here I used my super old blender that’s seen better days (so it took me a while!). I’ve since looked around at better/more powerful blenders and would 100% recommend getting a good one if you’re as obsessed with sorbet as I am!

Question: I don’t own a blender - can I make this without one?

Answer: Although I haven’t tried it, you could probably try make this with a fork/masher + a bit of patience. I would recommend pulling the peach cubes out of the freezer before they fully freeze though. Then mash them, then pop bak in the freezer for a little bit, then repeat. You’ll be mashing for quite a while without a blender though so be prepared for a workout :) A blender if definitely going to be easier though! Let me know how you go if you try making this without a blender - I’d love to know how you go!

Question: How do I store the dessert? How long does it last?

Answer: Sorbet is always best served as soon as you make it :)

Question: Is this dessert Gluten Free?

Answer: Yes! Just make sure the maple syrup you buy is ‘gluten free’.

Question: I don’t like one (or more) of the ingredients in this recipe - can I substitute ingredients out for something else?

Answer: Yes! Feel free to substitute out any of the ingredients listed here. Google is a wonderful resource if you get stuck and don’t know what a good alternative would be to swap something for. For example, head over to Google and type in ‘maple syrup swap’ and you’ll be presented with a range of options to choose from (like honey or golden syrup instead of maple syrup!). If you’re still stuck, feel free to reach out to me on Instagram and I’ll do my very best at finding you a good alternative suggestion for ingredient swaps!

Question: Was this delicious?

Answer: Oh my yes! I’m already craving it again :) I would definitely recommend trying this one out if you’re into healthy fresh desserts (and if the weather is a little warm!). So refreshing!
